Barty Matcha is Made in Small Batches from young and tender leaves that don’t have any astringent flavors, so you get a gentle and sweet brew that’s surprisingly complex.
The flavor starts with fresh notes of young peas and green sprouts, then transitions to a nutty and savory profile with a long-lasting Umami finish.
One cool thing about our Matcha is that it was blended in collaboration with a highly respected Kyoto Tea Master and Blender named Mr. Morita Haruhide, who has received numerous awards and titles for his work.
We actually had the L-Theanine levels of this Matcha tested, and they were outstanding at 26.7 mg/g (which is 6x higher than average commercial-grade Matcha). The flavor profile is sweet and balanced, with floral, nutty, and savory undertones.
It’s a first-harvest (spring) Matcha that’s shade-grown for 30 days and hand-picked in Uji, Kyoto.
